hi there

i have a question
perhaps someone knows the answer ;-)

i read an episodeguide of quantum leap and i noticed that sam leaped sometimes in the time before he was born

ok in "the leap between the states" it was because of the genes of his grandfather

but whats with "play it again seymour" and "The Americanization of Machiko" ?

there he leaped on 14.4.1953 and on 4.8.1953

both before his birthday which is on 8.8.1953 (as said in "mirror image")

how is this possible :S :S

there he leaped on 14.4.1953 and on 4.8.1953
Because he was conceived 9 months prior to 8/8/53.

Sam's date of birth was established in the pilot episode, as one of the
answers to the Ernst-Berger Trivial Pursuit.

The writers probably then forgot that they'd done this when thinking
up the leap dates for a couple of the early episodes.
